Rawalpindi:Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan participated as the Chief Guest in the function organized at Government Associate College for Women Dhowk Hassu Rawalpindi. College Principal Professor Shazia Jilani, former member of National Assembly Ghulam Murtaza Satti, college faculty, students and others participated in the ceremony. The Governor Punjab distributed the prizes to the students who showed outstanding performance in the examination. The Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan while addressing the ceremony said that education plays the role of a ladder in the development of nations. The education of female students is the guarantee of our bright future. The country will develop with the education of women. He congratulated the students for their outstanding performance. Governor Punjab said that Muslims have progressed due to education. In the past, all the great scholars and scientists were Muslims. Unfortunately, the governments in the past have not paid attention to education as it was needed. There is no shortage of talent in Pakistan. We have to be disciplined. Negligence in education and health sectors cannot be tolerated. The scope of education has widened. Development is possible only with the education system built on modern lines. We will try our best to build more colleges for the education of girls. He said that along with education, teachers should also focus on training and character building. The society is suffering from disintegration, today’s students should play a role in bringing it on a positive path. Positive thinking should be nurtured and play a constructive role. College Principal Prof. Shazia Jilani while addressing the ceremony said that the visit of Governor Punjab has boosted the morale of the students.
