Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the urgent importance of halting the ongoing killings of Palestinians and securing a ceasefire.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s stance on the Palestinian issue remains clear and unequivocal, noting that the country has consistently raised the voice of its oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters at every global forum and will continue to do so.
During call with JI Emir Hafiz Naeem, he reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding position of establishing a Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
He highlighted that eight Islamic countries are actively working to achieve a ceasefire in Palestine, expressing optimism that these efforts will soon bear fruit and lead not only to peace but also to the long-awaited creation of a Palestinian state.
