RAWALPINDI: The Secretary Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering (HUD&PHE), Capt (Retd) Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, visited the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to review the progress of ongoing development projects and institutional reforms.
Upon his arrival at RDA Headquarters, Secretary Housing was warmly welcomed by the Director General RDA, Kinza Murtaza, Additional DG RDA, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, and senior officers from RDA, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) and Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA).
On this occasion, a detailed meeting was held in the RDA Conference Room, during which the DG RDA, Kinza Murtaza presented a comprehensive briefing on the authority’s key initiatives. The presentation included updates on several major projects, notably the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project and the Nullah Lai Expressway, among others.
Secretary Housing appreciated the pace and quality of RDA’s work and emphasized the importance of completing all projects swiftly and with utmost integrity. He said these projects are vital for the future of Rawalpindi. Timely and transparent execution is key. The DG RDA assured that the projects are progressing rapidly and would be completed very soon.
Additionally, the DG PHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha and MD WASA Muhammad Saleem Ashraf also briefed the Secretary Housing on the ongoing performance and future plans of their departments. Secretary Housing emphasized the need for increased revenue generation for WASA and called for bold measures to ensure institutional stability and financial sustainability.
The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment by all departments to accelerate development efforts and serve the citizens of Rawalpindi more effectively.
On this occasion, the Director Admn & Finance RDA Qazi Ahmad Sohaib, Chief Planner RDA, Muhammad Tahir Meo, Director Estate Management Shahzad Gondal, Director Land Malik Ghazanfar Ali Awan, Director Engineering RDA Muhammad Kamran, Director Engeering-II Komal Chuadhry, and other officers of RDA, PHA and WASA participated in the meeting.
