Preparations Peak for 320th Urs of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar in Islamabad

Three-day spiritual celebrations begin today with Naat, Qawwali, and collective prayers; Deputy PM Ishaq Dar to attend concluding ceremony on August 10.

Islamabad:Preparations for the 320th three-day annual Urs of the renowned spiritual leader of the subcontinent, Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi, also known as Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar, have reached a peak. A bathing ceremony for the shrine was held yesterday, attended by Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Member of National Assembly Naseer Sindhu, DC Islamabad Irfan Memon, Raja Sarfraz Akram, Raja Imtiaz Janjua, Dr. Riaz Janjua, Muhammad Waseem, Raja Shahbaz, and a large number of devotees of Bari Imam Sarkar along with the district administration.

After the bathing, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Member of the National Assembly Naseer Sindhu, and others made offerings of flowers and offered the Fateha prayer at the shrine. The three-day Urs will begin today (Friday), August 8, and will continue until Sunday, August 10. During the Urs, gatherings of Naat and Samaa will be held, where prominent Naat reciters and Qawwals from the country will participate. On the last day of the Urs, a collective prayer ceremony will be held, with the special guest being Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
