ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Friday paid glowing tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on his 67th death anniversary, hailing his unmatched bravery and supreme sacrifice for the defense of Pakistan.
In his official message, the Speaker stated that Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed laid down his life in 1958 while defending the motherland. His courage, he said, left behind an immortal legacy in the nation’s history that continues to inspire generations.
“The nation proudly honors this valiant son of the soil,” said Sadiq. “Martyrs are the true benefactors and eternal heroes of our homeland. It is because of their sacrifices that we enjoy the blessings of freedom today.”
He emphasized that living nations never forget their martyrs, asserting that Pakistan stands proud of its brave sons who sacrificed everything for the country’s sovereignty and dignity.
The Speaker concluded by reaffirming that the sacrifices of martyrs like Major Tufail Shaheed form the very foundation of Pakistan’s liberty, and the entire nation salutes their unparalleled heroism.
