Tehran:Iran has expressed readiness to resume diplomatic negotiations on its nuclear program.
According to international media reports, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran is willing to return to the negotiation table if Western nations demonstrate seriousness and goodwill.
In a letter to European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, Araghchi emphasized that the revival of talks depends on mutual sincerity and avoiding actions that could undermine the chances of success.
This development comes as the UK, France, and Germany have formally initiated a process to reimpose United Nations sanctions on Iran, citing Tehran’s violations of the 2015 nuclear deal.
The three European powers, in a letter to the UN Security Council, accused Iran of failing to honor its commitments under the nuclear agreement and announced the activation of the “snapback” mechanism, which will reinstate sanctions within 30 days.
It is noteworthy that Iran has recently engaged in several rounds of discussions with European nations regarding a potential new nuclear framework.
