Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office to review security arrangements, operational planning, and public facilitation measures in view of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
An official told APP on Monday that the meeting was attended by senior police officers and focused on ensuring enhanced policing and citizen convenience during Ramadan.
During the meeting, the IGP Rizvi directed officers to further accelerate measures aimed at ensuring citizens’ safety and facilitation. He emphasized effective policing, improved field presence, and strengthened security arrangements across the federal capital.
The IGP Rizvi also issued special instructions regarding the welfare of police officers performing duties, particularly during Sehr and Iftar timings. He directed that appropriate arrangements be made to facilitate personnel while ensuring uninterrupted security coverage.
Furthermore, the progress of the Islamabad Prison construction project was reviewed during the meeting. The IGP Rizvi was briefed on the latest developments and issued necessary directions to ensure timely completion of the project.
IGP Rizvi reiterated that Islamabad Police remains committed to maintaining law and order, protecting citizens’ lives and property, and ensuring a peaceful environment during Ramadan.
